More Affordable Access to Higher Education

The UBL Social Scholarship is a financial support program from Bandar Lampung University aimed at certain community groups as a form of appreciation for their loyalty or involvement with UBL. This scholarship covers tuition fees and is awarded to families of UBL students/alumni, children of UBL employees and lecturers, as well as children of civil servants (ASN), TNI, POLRI, teachers, and communities living around the campus and middle-low income families.

Social Scholarship Information

  1. Social Scholarship for Student Family / UBL Alumni

    This scholarship is a form of financial assistance provided to family members listed in the same Family Card (Kartu Keluarga), including siblings (younger or older) as well as the children of UBL Alumni.
    The scholarship is valid for up to a maximum of 8 (eight) semesters without the need for reapplication each semester.
    Recipients of the Social Scholarship for Student Family and Alumni receive an exemption from the Development Fee amounting to IDR 20,000,000 and a 10% tuition fee (SPP) discount per semester (applicable cumulatively).

  2. Social Scholarship for Family of UBL Employees / Lecturers

    Recipients receive an exemption from the Development Fee of IDR 20,000,000, as well as a tuition fee (SPP) discount.
    Scholarship recipients are required to submit academic and non-academic progress reports each semester through the Student Affairs and Alumni Relations Office for verification and scholarship renewal.

  3. Social Scholarship for Families of Civil Servants, Military (TNI), Police (POLRI), and Teachers

    This scholarship is a form of educational financial assistance for the children of Civil Servants (ASN), Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Indonesian National Police (POLRI), and Teachers who register as new students.
    Recipients receive an exemption from the Development Fee of IDR 20,000,000, as well as a tuition fee (SPP) discount, and are required to submit academic and non-academic progress reports each semester through the Student Affairs and Alumni Relations Office for verification and scholarship renewal.

  4. Social Scholarship for Students Residing Near UBL

    This scholarship is granted to students from communities residing around the Universitas Bandar Lampung campus as a form of appreciation for the surrounding community.
    Recipients receive an exemption from the Development Fee of IDR 20,000,000, as well as a tuition fee (SPP) discount, and are required to report their academic progress in the form of Grade Point Average (GPA) each semester through the Student Affairs and Alumni Relations Office for verification and scholarship renewal.

  5. Social Scholarship – Bina Generasi Muda

    This scholarship is a form of financial assistance provided to prospective students whose parents have a monthly income between IDR 4,000,000 and IDR 5,000,000, with monthly expenses between IDR 2,000,000 and IDR 4,000,000, placing them within the middle-income family economic category.

    • This scholarship is application-based, meaning new students may apply after being officially accepted to Universitas Bandar Lampung through the Madani admission pathway and after completing re-registration.

    • The announcement of the scholarship category determination is based on the verification results of the Family Card documents submitted by the Social Scholarship applicants.

    • Refund Policy for Overpaid Tuition Fees (SPP): Overpayment refers to the difference in tuition fees already paid during re-registration through the Madani pathway due to the student receiving a scholarship under a specific category. The difference will be refunded after the student has officially received scholarship approval. Refunds will be made via bank transfer to the parent’s or guardian’s account listed on the same Family Card (Kartu Keluarga).

    • Obligations of Social Scholarship Recipients:

      1. All Social Scholarship recipients must commit to achieving academic or non-academic performance in their respective fields each semester and report their progress to the Student Affairs and Alumni Relations Office for review and consideration of scholarship renewal for the following semester.

      2. The review will be based on academic development, as well as research activities with lecturers or community service activities conducted with lecturers.

      3. Notifications regarding the renewal of the Social Scholarship will be sent to students via their official student email accounts provided by Universitas Bandar Lampung.

Scholarship Process

  1. Registration is conducted through the Madani admission pathway by completing the online form at spmb.ubl.ac.id.

  2. Please complete the form accurately and select the installment payment method as the payment option.

  3. After completing registration, prospective students will receive a payment notification via WhatsApp and email based on the registration data provided.

  4. Make the payment according to the invoice in order to obtain a Student Identification Number (NPM).

  5. After the payment is completed, prospective students will receive another notification via WhatsApp and email regarding scholarship offers, along with a link to scholarship information, based on the registration data.

  6. After obtaining the NPM, you are officially registered as a student of Universitas Bandar Lampung and may proceed with registration to use the UBL Apps system.

  7. Please register your account at ublapps.ubl.ac.id.

  8. To apply for a scholarship, students may log in to UBL Apps, go to the Scholarship menu, and then select the Scholarship submenu.

  9. Please select the type of scholarship, then enter and upload the required scholarship documents, as well as input any achievements obtained by the student.

  10. After submitting the required documents, scholarship applicants will proceed to the document screening stage.

  11. If the document screening is successful, applicants will be scheduled for a scholarship interview.

  12. Prospective scholarship recipients will be scheduled to attend a scholarship interview.

  13. Scholarship applicants will participate in the scholarship interview.

  14. Scholarship applicants will receive the announcement of results through the UBL Apps platform.

  15. If a student is accepted into the scholarship program, a refund mechanism for tuition fees already paid will be applied in accordance with the scholarship category obtained and applicable regulations. The mechanism is as follows:

  • Students who receive the K1 Scholarship Category are eligible for a refund of the Development Fee.

  • In the event of withdrawal, refunds can only be processed if the student submits a withdrawal request within the same registration period (intake/batch) in which the registration was made. If the registration period (intake/batch) has changed, refund requests cannot be submitted. Refundable fees include the PPK supporting fee and the Development Fee.
